1 John 4:9-11 “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
Today is the last day in the #iAmchallenge2017 and I wanted to end it with the most beautiful and powerful of all the affirmations: iAm Loved! It may sound cliche or even a bit corny but what the majority of the world is missing is love. It is hard to give something away that you don’t have. Many people go through life feeling unwanted and unloved. I believe it is because they have yet to encounter the God that loves. Our God does not love as we do. He loves through true sacrifice and death. He loves us. No. Mattter. What. He loves us. Once we begin to understand this truth and begin to open ourselves up to His love, our own love can begin to abound. Our God is a God of love. No matter what others may try to portray Him as, He is Love. Period.
While looking for the scripture for today I came across so many scriptures on love. It was overwhelming. Love is throughout the Bible. His love for us and our love for others. I suggest reading 1 John 4, John 15 (or the whole book of John), 1 Cor 13:4-8, 1 Peter 4:8, and Proverbs 7:18 just to start you off with dose of love.
When we begin to understand and receive God’s love we are then able give love, accept love, and display love better. Today I pray that God’s love fills your heart like never before. I pray that His love becomes clear to you and you begin to manifest love like never before.
Day 31 in the #iAmChallenge. Repeat this affirmation several times today and for the rest of your life. Be encouraged in your journey and know that you are loved.
