Gal 3:13-14 “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.”
Definition of redeem = to buy back or to win back. Or to free from captivity by payment of ransom/ to release from blame or debt.
We are redeemed. Our freedom came at a price that we could not pay. But praise God for redemption! We have been bought back by Him to Him. Because of this we have promises, protections, and blessings. Our faith connects us to these privileges. To know that God loves us so much that He gave Himself as a ransom is beautiful, it’s overwhelming, it’s love. Reflect on His love and redemption today.
Day 17 in the #iAmchallenge2017 – During the month of May I will post a daily affirmation, corresponding scripture, and short encouragement. Read the affirmation out loud several times today.
